When we think of virtual reality, we tend to be taken by a sense of fear, that the unknown could somehow become more powerful than ourselves. Virtual realms are already existent in our present time, in many different forms. We are consumed by various networks and webs of information that are continually shaping our identity. Metaverse is music that attempts to transcend realms of perception and focus upon the idea that the lines between an organic world and a digital one are slowly blurring with no signs of stopping.
Metaverse is the debut album from rising producer, Telequanta from Philadelphia, PA. The 7-track, 37 minute LP leans on minimal house beats, and psychedelic synth leads.

I'm a bit late picking up on these guys. Been discovering music retroactively on Data Garden through Spaceship Aloha. That said, I really was delighted to find this album. Instant buy. Can't pick a favorite track, but I will say Hot Plate all the way through Stomper feels like the strongest opening trio of songs that I've heard in awhile on any album. It doesn't hurt that it makes me feel like Mega Man exploring perilous worlds. Dev Bhat
Ordered a physical copy but they never sent it, despite contacting them multiple times. Had to finally contact Paypal for a refund, so buyer beware. The music is nice but was bummed about never hearing from them at all. ~ DJ Megasoup (Selaroda) ~
